The Blood Drive

Goal:

The Blood Drive

Goal:

Atlas partnered with Carter BloodCare to run an annual high-school blood drive, recruiting first-time donors and creating a pipeline of teen awareness around plasma shortages and emergency blood supply needs.

We managed donor scheduling, eligibility verification, outreach campaigns, and bilingual education about donation safety. We coordinated with Marcus High School and Flower Mound High School to run a city-wide blood drive for our constituents.

“One donation saves three lives—your team helped save more than ninety.”

Problem: Texas faces recurring blood shortages, while teens often hesitate to donate due to misinformation or fear.

5-Part Solution:

  1. Launched an outreach campaign focused on first-time teen donors.

  2. Coordinated with Carter BloodCare for safe on-site clinical setup.

  3. Managed logistics: scheduling, check-ins, eligibility forms.

  4. Provided peer-to-peer education to normalize donation.

  5. Established the blood drive as an annual school tradition.

Impact:

30+ donors per year; built the largest youth donor base at the school; supported emergency blood capacity for hospitals across the region
